Carers rights day

Having the correct information at the right time can make a huge difference when you are looking after someone. Each year organisations across the UK get together to help carers in their local community find out about their rights and how to get the help and support they are entitled to, as part of National Carers Rights Day.

The day is organised by national charity Carers UK and is a rallying call to get all carers the support they're entitled to, wherever they are in their caring journey.

In 2017, Carers Rights Day will be held on Friday 24th November 2017  More news on our plans for the day will be posted nearer the time.

Carers week

Carers Week is an annual campaign aimed at raising awareness of caring, highlighting the challenges carers face and recognising the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.

Carers Week 2016 will took place from Monday 6 to Sunday 12 June 2016. This year the focus was on building carer friendly communities, which support carers to look after their loved ones well, while recognising that they are individuals with needs of their own.

The Alliance was out and about during carers week, with pop up information stalls in key locations across local Dudley borough communities.

Carers Week 2017 will take place from Monday 12  to Sunday 18 June 2017. More news on our plans for the day will be posted nearer the time
